HireTrades is an online marketplace operated by MART BUILD LTD ("we", "us") that connects homeowners with verified tradespeople across the United Kingdom. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data when you use hiretrades.uk, our mobile apps and related services.
We collect: (a) account information you provide — name, email address, phone number, postcode, trade or business details; (b) content you submit — job posts, quotes, reviews, messages, photos and videos; (c) payment and billing information processed by our payment providers (we do not store full card numbers); (d) technical data — IP address, device type, browser, and usage analytics; (e) location data such as postcode areas used to match jobs with local tradespeople.
We use your data to: create and manage your account; match homeowners with tradespeople; process payments, subscriptions and credits; send service notifications by email, SMS, WhatsApp or push notification; prevent fraud and enforce our terms; improve our services; and comply with legal obligations. We process data on the lawful bases of contract performance, legitimate interests and consent.
We share data only where necessary: with tradespeople or homeowners you choose to interact with; with service providers (hosting, payments, email/SMS delivery, analytics) under strict data-processing agreements; and with authorities where required by law. We never sell your personal data.
If you sign in using Facebook, Google or Apple, we receive only your basic profile information (name, email address) to create your account. We do not post to your social accounts without your explicit permission.
We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as necessary to meet legal, accounting and dispute-resolution requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
You have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any right, contact us at support@hiretrades.uk. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
You can delete your account and associated data at any time from your account settings, or by visiting hiretrades.uk/data-deletion.html, or by emailing support@hiretrades.uk.

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on secured infrastructure with access controls. Passwords are stored hashed; payment card data is handled by PCI-compliant providers.
HireTrades is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
